Transit: A Public Transit App that brings Google transit directions to iOS 6

We recently stumbled across the “Transit” a public transit navigation app for iPhone/iPad available.  It’s developed by TapOne.

“Transit” is great for Google Maps loving iPhone users because it overlays Google Map’s transit navigation in iOS6 maps.  The app is available for all systems currently available in the Google Maps transit directions service.

“Transit” does a great job a breaking apart the separate legs of travel within an entire trip.  The image below shows a transit trip from southeast Portland to the Portland Airport.

Within the app you can also email route information to friends and set up reminders to catch a bus before your departure time.
